Welcome to Master Tailor, located in the heart of Upper West Side where we proudly offer high end couture/bespoke alteration services. Master Tailor Inc. is a Kim family owned and operated establishment in the fashion/garment business for the past three generations.
Our in-house master tailor, Steve, 2nd generation, has 50 years experience of making bespoke suits, fur & leather coats making from scratch. Also, 3rd generation, Leah has 10 years experience in fashion field as well as founding her own designers label, LEAH NY. Unlike her father who learned all of his skills by apprenticeship only, Leah took the modern path that combined in apprentice and academy. Leah holds a Bachelor of Fine Art in Fashion from the Fashion Institution Of Technology. She also studied in Milan, Italy to enhance her perspective by adding European taste.

Steve Kim, Master Tailor.
Born and raised in South Korea. Steve entered this journey in his age of fifteen. Naturally exposed to the garment industry from his mother, who hand-sewn every stitchings the Korean traditional garment; Han-Bok.
Leah Kim, Designer.
Undergraduate Women’s wear in Fashion Institute of Technology. Worked for brand names to private labels, and found her own brand.
